Opti-Smiles! On Sunday, five very talented students represented Caravonica State School in the regional finals of Opti-MINDS. Trent, Liam, James, Dylan and Olivia competed in the Science and Engineering category to design and present an eco-friendly house. The students created an innovative dome-shaped house that incorporated solar panels, windmills and a chicken poop-powered car! This very dedicated team of Year five students worked tremendously hard over the last six weeks. Their commitment and teamwork paid off as they were awarded the converted “Spirit of Opti-MINDS award”. It just goes to show how Confidence, Getting Along, Persistence, Organisation, Resilience really are the keys to success!

2A Science ExperimentStudents in 2A did an experiment in science to observe what happens to water when it falls on different surfaces eg: sand, cement, grass, slopping areas. This term students are studying “How We Use Water” and this was part of our unit of work. Roeith, Molly, Aaliyah and Foster look like they are enjoying Science Class. |
