Defence School Mentor

Caravonica State School has a Defence School Mentor (DSM) to support students who have parents serving in the Australian Defence Force (ADF).

The Defence School Mentor Program (DSMP) assists Defence students and their families with changing schools, integrating into the school community and providing support through onsite, direct and flexible assistance to students, parents, teachers and other support services, especially during parental absences.

Our DSM:

  • Provides a point of contact for ADF families
  • Coordinates appropriate welcome and farewell activities
  • Assists ADF families to integrate into the school community
  • Supports students during parental absence
  • Runs weekly lunchtime activities/Defence Kids Club

Our DSM Rikki Bradley is available Thursday and Friday and can be contacted through the school office 07 4037 4333 or email rbrad149@eq.edu.au
